Types of hearing aids

There are six main types of hearing aid and your hearing aid audiologist will help you choose the type that is right for.

At Amplifon, we offer a wide range of the latest, high performance hearing aids from the world's leading international manufacturers. However, the most important issues in determining which hearing aid is right for you are the results of your hearing test, your lifestyle, the style of hearing aid that you prefer and your level of dexterity. Based on these four key factors, your hearing aid audiologist will recommend the hearing aids that are most appropriate for you to ensure that they will satisfy your individual needs and that you will feel comfortable and confident wearing them every day.

BTE.jpgHoused in a small curved case that fits discreetly behind the ear, these hearing aids are connected via a clear, thin tube to an ear mould that's made to your ear shape for a perfect fit.  Behind-the-ear aids are available in a variety of colours to blend easily with your hair colour or skin tone.
